SES se considère d'abord et avant tout comme étant une entreprise de recherche et de développement qui effectue ses propres recherches et développements, utilise ses propres logiciels et offre ses services de consultation au marché afin de résoudre des problèmes exigeants et complexes. Cette combinaison unique lui permet de développer des logiciels à la fine pointe de la technologie. La publication des articles scientifiques de SES dans les revues les plus réputées démontre sa réputation au sein de la communauté scientifique. Depuis plus de 45 ans, SES est le chef de file mondial incontesté et un pionnier dans les domaines de la mise à la terre, des interférences électromagnétiques et des effets de la foudre.
Les articles évalués par des pairs qui sont présentés ci-après ne peuvent être consultés que par les détenteurs de licences d'utilisation des progiciels de SES, mais ils sont également disponibles dans de nombreuses bibliothèques.
